The Senior FX Banker will report directly to the FX Manager. The supervisor will increase FX sales by fostering a work environment that attracts, develops, recognizes and retains employees who demonstrate a commitment to our core values. Secondly, by building long term relationships with our customers by providing superior value and integrity and personalized service. Third, contribute to the growth and development of our communities through investment and involvement. In doing so, optimizing the shareholder’s long-term value.

The Senior FX Banker will work hand in hand with bank front line management and serve as the primary sales force for the FX services. The Senior FX Banker will supplement sales efforts by supervising the functions of the FX Bankers as well as his/her independent sales efforts. Mainly providing key insight to potential organic growth and the identification of non-existing customers with FX potential. The job summary includes, but is not limited to growth of the FX customer base, handle customer inquiries in person or by phone, explain the institutions products and service, refer customers to the appropriate personnel in lending, or other area of the bank, taking and confirming wire transfer requests.


The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

1. Serve as a mentor to the FX Bankers increasing their industry, system and sales acumen.
2. Review and evaluate regular reports of branch activities, potential customers, cold visits, new prospects.
3. Identify potential FX customers, and follow up on cold visits.
4. Conduct presentations in a mixer setting and follow up with visits after the events for FX Prospects.
5. Serve as the primary contact for the branch network in assisting with sales closings and support and system guidance.
6. Travel within the US and Mexico for potential customers, follow up visits, system integration and FX Trader implementation for the SWAPSTECH system.
7. Provide detailed reporting and leads to the branch network with periodic monitoring and follow up.
8. Contribute to the completion of FX Desk daily operations by coordinating directly with the FX Desk Manager.
9. Resolve customer problems, coordinating solutions with the branch personnel to ensure adherence to FX policies and procedures with an emphasis and customer service.
10. Promote sales culture and ensure that the staff receives proper training to demonstrate abilities to sell FX Services to reach the sales goals.
11. Evaluate potential prospects in the region, develop partnership with sales representatives, Commercial lenders, Branch managers and TMO services for opportunities for business development.
12. Constantly enhance and implement the FX sales plan to ensure that branches meet their FX income goals.
13. Capture operations, provide customer quotes, promote the FX business by focusing on the following essential functions:

• Promote the FX business between prospects and current customers
• Quote rates to customers and branches and also provide support to branches on any needs related to the FX Business and its process
• Receive instructions from customers to send Mexican Peso wires and from branches to send other currencies
• Upload payments to beneficiaries on electronic banking system 
• Prepare payments to beneficiaries of wires and payments to counter-parties on international wires system.


These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

• Requires a bachelor or master's degree level of knowledge in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting or the equivalent training and/or experience. 
• Dynamic, Bilingual skills a must
• Ability to multitask the in the utilization of bank platforms
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally
• Well versed in wire transfer fulfillment and processing both domestic and international
• Experienced in implementing measures to minimize security, fraud and customer risk when processing and or servicing
• High powered customer sales and service attitude
• 3 years of foreign exchange experienced is preferred
• Proven record as a team player and leader in a previous role is also preferred
• Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
