In the event that your card is lost, misplaced, or stolen, contact Vantage Bank Texas as soon as possible at 1-800-472-3272. This can help minimize your losses and prevent fraudulent activity from posting to your account.

Use the CardValet app on your smartphone to disable your lost or stolen debit card. Plus with CardValet, you can turn your card off and on to prevent unauthorized use, schedule alerts and restrict card usage based on merchant type, geographic area and/or amount. Watch the video to learn more.

Customer’s Liability

If you believe your debit card or PIN number has been lost or stolen, contact us immediately to keep losses to a minimum. Until the bank is notified, all funds in your account (plus any overdraft limit you may have) are at risk of theft.

If you notify the bank within two (2) business days and someone uses your debit card or PIN without your permission, the maximum amount you are responsible for is $50.00. If you do not notify the bank within two (2) business days after learning about the loss or theft of your debit card or PIN, you could be responsible for up to $500.00.

If your account statement shows transfers or purchases you did not make, notify the bank at once. If you do not notify the bank within 60 days from the statement date, you will be liable for up to $50.00 of loss that occurs during that 60-day period and may not be reimbursed for any money lost.

Exceptions may be made for special circumstances (e.g., you are away on a long trip or hospital stay). We will examine each case to determine if you qualify for an extension.
